Beautiful home next to the best snorkeling on the island. We spent a week in this lovely place during our kids' spring break. We went to the pool once, but when you can swim with turtles in cove across the street, the pool was completely abandoned :). The house is also beautifully and wonderfully equipped with a bunch of kitchen appliances and beach supplies. Unlike some others, we did use the AC, but only turned it on for an hour or so during the hottest part of the day. In fact, there was only one issue with the place - it's on the 3rd floor. it was a bit difficult to haul large pieces of luggage and groceries up 3 flights of stairs, but that's the price for the beautiful sunset view over the ocean from the lanai.
We truly enjoyed our stay in this well-maintained condo that is conveniently located just across the street from one of the best snorkel beaches in the Hawaiian islands. We very much appreciated the timely and thorough communication with the owners (James and Hee). They are on top of it! The property manager (Britt) was welcoming and exceptionally helpful (she even found a coupon for a local establishment to give to us). The condo itself is well-appointed and beautifully decorated, and included useful amenities such as snorkeling equipment for us to borrow. One minor thing for the building owner to consider is putting up a patio umbrella by the pool for those who want to be outside and enjoy the view of the ocean across the street while being protected from the sun. Overall, our experience was excellent. Mahalo!
We had a great time with our 2 kids and the condo was a perfect size for our family! The view was amazing from the condo and lanai! We would definitely recommend others to stay in this condo. Thanks to the owners and to Britt, the property manager, for such great accommodations!
We stayed here for one week in January. We were very impressed with the location. It is just across the road from Kahaluu Bay ranked as one of the best snorkel locations in the area. The colorful variety of sea life in the underwater world being so close was a real advantage. We could check the surf level from our lanai and see if it would be a good time to head to the water. We usually began our days on the lanai and ended our day there as well. James and Hee were so thoughtful with including so many amenities to make our stay very comfortable. It felt private, yet close to everything we needed. The elevator was extremely handy when bringing in groceries or just coming and going. The surf is too high? No problem. Enjoy the privacy of the pool with view of the bay. There is a grill near the pool and Kualoa Ranch was just down the road with reasonably priced items for grilling. Thank you to James and Hee for our home away from home. We also appreciated the prompt return of our security deposit.
Our visit couldn't have been better. The location and accommodations were perfect. The only downside was the closing of the beach just across the street which had happened a few days before we arrived. Other than that, we had five full days of sightseeing, eating and basically relaxing. The accommodations had everything we needed and a wonderful view from the lanai. We did not use the air conditioner but relied on the ceiling fans to keep us comfortable. Overall the fans worked quite well.
I would recommend this place to anyone.
What a great first time vacation to the big island! The condo was exactly what we had hoped for and much more! Lee and James have thought of everything, literally. It was in a great location, and across from the best snorkeling beach! This was our first time with a vacation rental and I must say, Lee and James were excellent communicators and kept us informed from the time we booked 10 months prior to the vacation, to arrival with check in details. Most definitely will be back to the big island, and would love to stay here again!!
We stayed in this condo for 10 days in late December and found it had everything we needed, all the rooms were comfortable. The kitchen worked well and we were able to eat most of our meals there. There is a grocery store very close by and restaurants too. We loved the view of the ocean from the lanai and that you could walk across to the beach to watch the sunset. My husband and daughter also took surfing lessons at the beach across the road and had a blast.
Condo was clean, well equipped, and across from one of the best snorkeling beach on the island. Pool and hot tub were excellent! Britt, the manager, was great to work with and had the "aloha spirit". Would stay there again in a heart beat!!
Wonderful condo. The place was very clean and has everything you need. It is right across from a great snorkeling beach. You could snorkel for the afternoon or just 20 minutes for a quick swim before you head out for the day.
It is located close to a shopping center. The condo is located 4 or 5 miles south of the main shopping area on Alii drive. Its an easy drive into Kona or the trolley runs right by the front of the condo if you prefer that.
The pool area was nice also. There are grills and it overlooks the beach.
We would definitely stay here the next time we are in Kona
My husband and I stayed here with another couple and loved it! The condo is well stocked and the location is great. It's close enough to the downtown area but you still get some peace and quiet. The beach across the street is awesome for snorkeling and you can see all kinds of fish. It was a bonus having the snorkeling equipment and beach gear provided! We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the lanai watching the surf and sat out there in the evenings to wind down. Within a few days of being on the Big Island we started planning on returning in a few years. This condo will definitely be on our list of potential places to stay when we come back!
Our stay in this condo was great. The location was outstanding with great views from the lanai. The condo was wonderfully equipped with everything we needed (unlike other locations we have booked through VRBO). To top it off, the owners were very prompt and thorough in their comminication, which gave us much comfort in staying in their condo. I could not give a higher recommendation to stay In this condo.
Very nice condo and the kitchen is fully stocked.The location is great , we enjoyed snorkeling cross the street. We forgot the watch charger in the condo, the owner really made the effort to helped us find it. He also arranged to ship the charger to us, much appreciated !
A little slice of paradise right here, as I sit on the balcony overlooking Kahaluu Bay. This condo is very comfortable, cute, and so convenient to some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii! We really enjoyed our stay. We were pleased to find a handicapped accessible unit as they are hard to come by. Your site manager is friendly and helpful. The roll in shower has a bath bench. The manager got us a toilet extender. A tall toilet would be a nice addition to your unit. We loved the lanai and the view. We spent much time out there. The pool area is lovely. The beach is handy. One of us. exercised on the beach in the AM. We never needed the air conditioning, the fans and windows were adequate. The local shuttle bus would be adequate if you didn't want to rent a car. We thank Hee and James and hope to visit again sometime.
We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was nice and clean and exactly as shown in the photos. The location cannot be beat. When we wanted to go and enjoy the beach and snorkel it was just steps away. The elevator was nice when we were with our suitcases and groceries. The grocery store is a few minutes drive away and the stores and restaurants are only a 10/15 minute drive. The balcony was always shady and was amazing for our meals and relaxing. The ceiling fan on the balcony was a great way to have an ocean breeze anytime we wanted. The view was great and the neighbourhood is relatively quiet. The pool and barbecue were great, but we spent almost all of our time at the beach. Amazing snorkelling. We saw turtles, an octopus, lobster, and a huge variety of reef fish. The beach park has showers, bathrooms, snorkelling rentals, and there is a food truck there everyday with ice-cream, snacks, burgers and so-on. The kids loved the beach, the pool, and the condo. We were all sad to leave when our vacation was over. When we return to Kona we will definitely choose to stay there again.
Hee and James unit is so comfortable from the beds, towels and couch. The kitchen is well equipped. All the details have been thought of and attended too. We've really enjoyed the snorkeling just across the street. We've had a fabluous time.
Absolutely loved the view from the lanai, spent every morning and evening enjoying the view and breezes. Very comfortable beds and well appointed kitchen. Loved the pool and the view from the infinity edge, great bbq, used it for several dinners. Very nice being directly opposite the snorkelling beach and 2 minutes drive from a wonderful sandy beach with crystal clear water and a friendly turtle!
We have just returned from a 2 week trip here as my husband competed in the Ironman event. We took our 2 children aged 9 and 6. From the moment we booked the accommodation Hee and James were so helpful always replying promptly.
The apartment is literally a home from home everything you need is in there from cooking utensils to beach gear and beach towels. The beds are also super comfy (this was a huge bonus after travelling 27 hours from the UK)
We hired a car from a recommendation from Hee and James which was a huge benefit and again was really well organised.
Kona is a beautiful place and we would recommend a trip to Hapuna Beach, captain cooks cove for snorkelling and the manta ray trip. The beach opposite is great for spotting the turtles and the ice shaves from the van were a huge hit.
All in all a fantastic place to stay. I already miss sitting on the balcony watching the sunset!
Condo was more than we expected, clean and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need.
1 min walk to the beach, fantastic view and lovely pool. Easy to find and close to everything. Restaurants are only 5 miles away or just up the street you can find a handful. You really don't need to bring anything. Fridge even had food in it. Big beach bag, 2 coolers, ice packs and much more.
We were very excited to book our first trip to Hawai'i and found this listing on Trip Advisor, a service we have never used before. From the moment we contacted Hee and James, they responded quickly and were very helpful and friendly throughout our contact with them.
We spent a week in July at their beautiful 2 bedroom penthouse and were impressed by the cleanliness and how well it was maintained. The location was so convenient as it was close to the airport, shopping, and the incredible snorkeling beach literally across the street.
They had so many amenities, from beach gear, to appliances, that were included. As well, there was on-site assistance if necessary and Hee and James made very helpful recommendations of activities on the island. Our family of 4 was comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kona.
We will definitely be back and would recommend this to our friends and family.
We recently stayed at this property for 4 days with our grade school aged daughter. We should have stayed longer. The owners were in touch throughout the process and have a great onsite person to help when you come stay. No need to worry about this aspect of things.
This is a great alternative to a hotel where you will have to park your car a mile away. We were able to park our car right outside the building and easily take luggage/beach items/groceries back and forth with the elevator. We walked half a block to the world class snorkel beach across the street but also set out to locations up and down the coast. This is truly a halfway point to most things you want to see and do. We ate all our meals on the lovely deck and utilized all kinds of things in the well stocked kitchen. The beds and bedrooms are both sophisticated and comfortable. The showers are amazing! The condo is full of beach items. There is a lovely pool and jacuzzi that we always had to ourselves. The view is out over the ocean. It is quiet, beautiful and easy.
We recommend heading down to the bay right at the edge of The Sheraton nearby. There is excellent paddle boarding, more snorkeling and both fishing and snorkel boat tours right there(across from the drive that turns into the hotel). No need to always go into the more crowded downtown Kona area for these things. Our favorite nice meal out was at Ray's on the Bay at the Sheraton! Truly magical outdoor seating at sunset.
Our kid was enchanted, we were totally relaxed, --it was wonderful. We will come back!
***PS-don't forget to add the volcano to your trip. There is no way a brochure or travel book can prepare you to see into a lake of lava on a pitch black night with a sky full of stars above you. I guarantee you want to experience that:)! Rent the condo for the whole week for ease and take a day and a night to head over to the national park. It's a whole different place over there. Like being in the Jurrasic Park movie. Really cool.
James' and Hee's condo is a fantastic place to stay on the Big Island. The condo is clean, modern and well appointed. It really feels like a home away from home. They are very responsive and professional with their communication, which made a first time VRBO.com user, like me, feel very much at ease. They also provided several "insider" recommendations which proved to be fantastic! The condo is just a few minutes away from Kona and is situated directly across the street from a great beach for snorkeling (Kahaluu). The pool is warm and has lovely views overlooking Kahaluu beach park. The entire complex, including the pool area, is generally quiet and doesn't feel crowded. Overall, we were extremely happy that we decided to book this condo and had a fantastic time on our vacation!
We loved the condo and all it had to offer. It was so nice having a fully stocked kitchen, and a lanai that looked out on the ocean! We ate breakfast out on the Lanai every morning! It was the best start of the day. The kitchen is fully stocked as I mentioned above with more than just pots and pans, but also a toaster, electric grill, rice cooker, blender etc!
The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms really clean and large! We opted for 2 nights without the A/C and then caved on the third night and asked for AC. With the tropical weather comes bugs and the screen doors were not enough to keep them out so keeping the doors open at night were not an option. However, the A/C kept us nice and cool and gave us the much needed rest.
Here is the biggest perk... right across the street is a Kahuluu park... one of the best snorkel beaches for beginners. It's shallow and well populated and has a life guard. There is also a section of this beach that offers surfing lessons and paddleboarding. Highly recommended before you venture out to some of the other snorkeling locations :)

We have stayed in units in this complex several times in the past. Always love this complex - great views, perfect location across from Kahalu Beach Park (awesome snorkeling). Nice new units. This unit did not let us down! Beautifully decorated and very clean when we arrived. Britt met us there when we arrived - it was great having a contact on site even though we didn't need anything all week. The owner checked in within minutes of our arrival as well. I must say of the dozen or so rentals we have stayed in over the past few years, this was the best equipped with beach supplies! Good quality chairs, coolers, boogie boards, umbrellas and snorkeling gear. Most importantly, for a family full of desert rats, the a/c is awesome! We paid the extra for it and would do it again every time! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
We just finished a one week stay at Hee and James' condo. My wife and I were traveling with our two children - both in their mid-twenties. Everyone loved this unit!
Location - Directly across the street is a park which offers beach, snorkeling, and a bit of surfing. Perhaps a half mile away is a shopping center. The south end of Ali'i Drive is perhaps 2 miles south and there you can park and walk along the undeveloped coastline.
Pretrip info - Before we arrived Hee and James sent complete information about accessing the unit, things to do, etc. They were very responsive to the few questions I had.
On arrival Britt, their property manager, was there to answer any questions and to be sure everything was good. We found the unit to be VERY clean and well-equipped. We hit Costco on the way into town and found the kitchen had everything we needed for a week of cooking. We have vacationed in Hawaii perhaps 10 times and this is the first unit that had a reverse osmosis drinking water supply. If you've been to Hawaii, too, you'll know how nice that is!
The unit was also well supplied with masks, snorkels, a boogie board, a brand new gas grill available near the pool and (during our stay at least) plenty of parking places. The WiFi worked all the time and easily handled all of us online at the same time.
I would highly recommend this condo! It is a beautiful condo that is well stocked in any cooking or beach supply you might want. Her and James are great and easy to work with! They are prompt in answering all questions and provided lots of helpful information not available in a guide book. Also the sunsets from the lanai on their unit are exquisite!!! I would definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay in this condo. Was exactly what we expected. Very well equipped with everything we needed. Took advantage of the beach gear to relax and snorkel in the nearby bay. Great view from the lanai. Just loved it. Nice shopping centre with a few restaurants very close by. Also just a short drive to many restaurants and shopping in Kona. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful, well-appointed condo. Had everything we needed, made good use of the beach chairs, the snorkel gear, and the kitchen. The in-laws got the awesome bedroom looking out over the beach, and so we scored big points there. The patio has the same view, great spot for a sunrise coffee. And the pool and grill in the complex are fabulous...you'd think after spending all day in the ocean, that I wouldn't need more water, but the hot tub is HOT and too enticing to resist. Great place, great communication, thanks so much James & Hee! Thanks for the lua'u tip too, the Royal Kona Sheraton's lua'u had great food, a decent show, endless drinks, and activities for everyone. Plus it was beachside, really pretty location. Took our own great photos, have lots of good memories from this trip!
This property was amazing. The owners and property manager were so easy to work with, so helpful and friendly. The view from the 3rd floor overlooking the ocean was so relaxing--we ate every meal at the table on the balcony. The snorkeling right across the street was some of the best on the island. The pool and barbecue facilities were great. The condo itself was clean, well stocked (beach accessories included), and comfortable. We loved it and would stay there again in a second.
We really enjoyed our stay at your condo. The location was prime as the building is right across the street from Kahalu'u Beach. Quick 2 minute walk and we were there. We enjoyed listening to the waves and the gorgeous view from the lanai. We also took advantage of the infiniti pool and bbq area. We had the place to ourselves and loved the privacy. The Keauhou shopping center is also walking distance and has a nice farmers market. 5 Stars all the way. We'll be back!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the condo with its beautiful view and great amenities. The location was absolutely perfect- we could not ask for anything more- other than a longer vacation. With Kahaluu Beach Park steps from our door my son started his morning snorkeling while I had coffee and watched from the lanai. Perfect and hope to use the condo again.
The listing was very accurate, and the condo was clean and well-maintained. We shared this condo with another couple and it complemented our needs well. It's location across from Kahaluu Beach couldn't be better, and it's set far enough away from the hustle and bustle found further north on Ali'i Drive. The condo had coolers, boogie boards, snorkel gear and also had great kitchen gear available. Parking was easy, the owners and property manager were attentive, and we were pleased with the quality of condo for the affordable price. Parking was really easy. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends.
The trolley was handy to get us to the shopping / restaurant center of Ali'i Drive, although it runs on a two-hour schedule, so if you miss it you are out of luck.
Property manager, Britt, was gracious and accommodating. We had a wonderful stay here with daughter, son-in-law, and 10 mo. old grandson in February, 2016. So convenient to Kahalu'u Beach. Modern, clean, all the accessories we needed. Highly recommended.
We stayed in this beautiful two bedroom condo for six nights in late January 2016. We picked this condo because it looked modern and well kept and was right across the street from one of the best snorkeling beaches near Kona - Kahaluu. Neither the condo nor the snorkeling let us down. The condo was spotless and has everything you need right down to snorkels, beach chairs and towels, laundry soap and cool breezes. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Communications with the owners were prompt and clear. Thank you for a great time! Mark and family!

We had an amazing time in Kona. We were centrally located to all sorts of activities and shops. The apartment is clean and has a great view of the ocean.
We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. The apartment is new, well maintained and has everything you might need for an enjoyable stay on the beach. All the snorkling equipment, kids toys, swim-noodles, coolboxes, towels - it's all there ready for you to use.
Location is great - close to the beach with beautiful view from the balcony/lanai. The swimmingpool within the compound was nice and also has a view of the beach.

꿈에 그리던 빅알랜입성후 우리 부부에게 하루하루 멋지고 즐거운 일상을 선물해준 콘도에요... 길건너 카할루 비치는 너무나 환상적이였고..모든구색이 갖춰진 콘도는음식을 조리하기에도 편안했으면 테라스에서 먹는 아침은 안락한 휴식을 주기에 충분한 콘도였습니다.. 화려하고 멋진 호텔도 좋지만 아늑하고 엄마같은 이런 콘도의 매력은 어디에서도 찾아볼수없을거같아요... 뷰또한 너무 아름다워 헉소리가 날정도의 멋진광경들이였고..다시 코나를 찾아도 여기를 다시묵을 겁니다.저희부부에게는 정말 5성급 호텔보다 너무 좋았어요..담에 또뵈요~~~
This is a terrific condo in a terrific location. The condo itself is lovely with high end finishes and comfortable beds. It's beautifully decorated and furnished with everything needed for a comfortable stay. There is an elevator so getting up to the condo is a breeze. The complex is small and quiet making it easy to park and get around. The pool is beautiful and overlooks the ocean. Nearby is a nice shopping center with full-sized grocery store, medical facilities, restaurants, and movie theater.
From start to finish it was a pleasure dealing with the owner and onsite manager. We have found our home base for future visits to the Big Island.
We just returned from a wonderful Kona getaway. The condo was perfect and so was the location. Just steps from "Snorkel Beach" The owners supply a bounty of beach gear for all ages. Loved not having to pack snorkel gear and towels. There are chairs, umbrella and coolers to make your visit easy and enjoyable.
Being able to walk across the street meant we could snorkel often!!
We ate on the lanai and watched the ocean and sky everyday. What a treat!! Being
a bit out of the hubbub of downtown was relaxing and had a neighborhood feel. When you looking for drinks and dinner, it is just minutes away.
We hit a big box store on the way in from airport but did most of our grocery and sundries shopping just up the hill at the local KTA Market and Long's Drugs. No need to go all the way back to town.
At the owners recommendation we tried the Hang Loose Dolphin Encounter--watch and swim with dolphins. Exceeded expectations, thank you for the heads up on that. Was the highlight of the trip.
Owners were excellent to work with and on site manager, Britt is a delight.
Can't wait to go back and have already recommended this property to friends and family.

We just returned from a wonderful visit to the Big Island. We appreciated being able to stay in James and Hee’s Beach Villa condo because it was in a perfect location to visit many areas of the island easily. James and Hee were friendly to work with via email and were always quick and helpful if I had a question. The condo was very clean and beautifully decorated, with plenty of space for our family to relax, along with having the kitchen tools we needed to use in the kitchen to prepare our meals.
The location was perfect for us to walk over each morning and snorkel at Kahalu’u Beach Park, which was a family favorite activity while on the island. We packed our own snorkel gear, but there were several sets in the closet available for use if we had needed them. Having other supplies available to us that we didn’t bring, like boogie boards and coolers, added to our fun on the island and allowed us to spend a day playing in the waves at Hapuna Beach. My daughters wanted to take surfing lessons while we were there and it was a great spot to learn because a surf shop with friendly instructors was just a short walk down the street.
We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to stay in this condo as it was affordable and a wonderful location. We would stay here again if we have a chance to return.
Upon arrival to the condo, it was easy open parking. The elevator to the third floor made it easy to carry in luggage, and later during our stay to get groceries and beach gear up and down - a big plus! Britt (on site manager) checked in with us, and let us know that she was just a phone call away if we needed anything at all.
The condo is exactly as presented, if not better. Anything you could think of is provided - toiletry items, dishwashing and dishwasher detergents, even laundry detergent. The condo was spotless and very comfortable from the bedding to the furniture on the lanai - the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or a drink at sunset.
Beach gear provided included everything you could ever ask for - from water shoes (which are needed for the rocky entry at the beach), boogie boards, chairs, noodles, coolers, an umbrella and snorkel equipment. Everything was in new condition.
Location is great - just across the street from the beach, and grocery stores and restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute drive. I'd definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it.

The condo was beautifully decorated, clean and was well stocked. We loved the proximity to Kahaluu Beach and enjoyed some wonderful snorkeling there. I spent some quality time with a sea turtle! Great variety of fish and eels too. We loved hanging out on the lanai and appreciated the option to have AC. Infinity pool was wonderful too!
We're still in Hawaii, but checked out of this wonderful condo this morning and wanted to write our review right away. The place is beautiful, comfortable, spotless, and ideally located. Everything we could think of was provided, including boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, beach umbrella and chairs, towels, shampoo and other toiletries, laundry detergent, etc. We walked to a fabulous snorkeling beach, great for young kids, ate breakfast on a beautiful lanai with a view of the ocean and the mountain, grilled on the communal grill by the pool and hot tub, and drove to various other beaches, coffee plantations, etc. Britt, the property manager who lives downstairs, was friendly and helpful. We didn't need anything from her, but she keeps the place beautifully clean and orderly. We couldn't have asked for anything more! Thanks, Hee and James!
The condo feels very new and clean inside. It is just as nice as the pictures indicate and is in a wonderful location, right across from a popular snorkeling beach. The sunsets from the lanai were amazing. The owners and on-site manager were very responsive. i would definitely recommend this condo.
We loved this place! The location was perfect. It is right across the road from Kahalu'u beach which was just the best snorkelling you can do without a boat. We saw tons of fish and turtles and they aren't scared of you when you swim by them. We spent hours out there enjoying the snorkelling and the nice thing was that you didn't have to fight for a parking spot as you were right across the road. There is a shave ice truck on the grounds of the beach which was great and they also served hotdogs/fries etc... The condo was super clean and had everything you could want. They had beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear, boogie boards and the list goes on. There is also an elevator so you don't have to lug your suitcases up the stairs. That was a a bonus. We loved the view from the lanai. You could watch the sunset, see the people snorkelling in the water, see the large cruise ships that dock in the bay. Breathtaking! You are in driving distance (10-15 mins) to downtown Kona and just down the road (10-15 minutes) from walmart. The pool was lovely as well. I'm sure it was heated since it felt like a bathtub!

This is a wonderful two bedroom third top floor apartment condo. Good size for two-three singles or two couples. Nicely fitted, Excellent condition and cleanliness. Great coastline view to the northwest along the Kona Coast from the deck. Excellent convenient central location on the Kona Coast. Across the street from Kahaluu Beach. Keep in mind that this is a very popular beach for good reason but that leads to some noise. So if you want a serene rural setting this is not it. But in exchange you get the very central location. We just stayed in this condo for our 2 week vacation on the Big Island. The condo exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have asked for a better place. We loved being directly across the street from a wonderful snorkeling beach. The condo is updated, clean, nicely furnished and had plenty of room for our family of 4. We enjoyed the views from the lanai, especially the beautiful Kona sunsets. The property grounds are well maintained and there is a nice pool. The owners and the on-site manager were a pleasure to work with. All in all, a great condo!
This is an excellent condo, just a short walk from the beach, with a very nice pool (and a fancy BBQ grill next to it) for those who want to stay on site. Two large grocery stores are within a mile. The furnishings are beyond expectations, including all the laundry soap, paper towels, garbage bags, shampoo, etc. that one would normally not expect the owner to provide. Owners were very helpful and quick to answer our questions before the trip. We would love to use this condo again on a future trip, and would highly recommend it to friends.
Wonderful location, perfectly furnished, clean as can be, and a very responsive owner. Our party of four (two couples celebrating our 25th wedding anniversaries) could not have been more pleased. Beautiful lanai, and excellent gas grill by swimming pool. Soon we will reserve for our 50th anniversaries.
Ideal location in Kona, across the street from a nice beach and not too far from downtown. The condo was superb and had everything needed including beach supplies such as snorkels, fins, towels, and chairs. The lanai looked out towards the beach so was a nice place to relax after a long day of activities.
Condo was easy to access and plenty of space for 5 adults. We were even given the option for the second bedroom to be made up as 2 separate twins. Would definitely stay here again.
This property was perfect for us, everything you need is provided. Very comfortable, clean and the view is wonderful. We will stay there again.

It was very clean.
The kitchen was extremely well-equipped and stocked with spices and some staples.
The lanai had a nice view of the coast.
It was far enough removed from central Kona to be quieter and have less traffic.
A two-minute walk to a great snorkeling beach!
Good-quality, plentiful towels and linens, and comfortable beds.
Hee responded very quickly to any and all messages, before and after booking.
Britt, the onsite manager, was readily available and very nice…but we didn’t have any problems so we just chatted with her.
Plenty of convenient parking.
One small downside- there was some noise from the street early in the morning, but if you close the bedroom window above the street it really helps.

Based on the HomeAway listing we had high expectations of this 2 BR rental condo listing but were a bit cautious at the time we made reservations and paid the deposits. It just seemed too good to be true. When we arrived we were blown away as to how nice this unit was. It was very spacious, clean and fully furnished to include snorkeling and body surfing gear. The view from the large lanai was fabulous. In fact we had our breakfasts and dinners there virtually the whole 7 days of our stay. Without a doubt we would reserve this unit again and again. Our only fear in writing this testimonial is that you would discover our secret hide away and we would have to share with you.

Great location and awesome value for the Island. Can easily do day trips from this location all over the island.
This truly is the best snorkeling beach on the island after having traveled around the entire island. Plenty of things to do and restaurants within easy 5-10 minute driving distance.
The set up of the condo is great and the booking process seamless from initial contact to our arrival onsite. The onsite manager Britt is great and a fountain of knowledge.

We absolutely loved this condo... great location, easy access to town yet quiet at night, right across from a great snorkeling beach, easy access to drive to South Point, up north, the airport, etc. Lots of gear provided in unit including beach chairs, umbrella's, boogie boards, etc. Owners were a pleasure to deal with, provided lots of good suggestions and information in advance and were very easy to work with. One of our best VRBO rental experiences to date.

Super location for beach/snorkeling access. Not within walking distance of restaurants, etc, but everything is very close. Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona. We loved our stay here! Morning coffee on the lanai enjoying the beautiful view is a perfect way to start the day, and relaxing in the warm breeze in the evening a perfect way to end the day. The view of the bay is stunning. The condo itself is well appointed, with everything any cook would want and the kitchen upgrades are beautiful. The beach towels and toys were so nice...the owners have truly tried to think of everything to make our stay here perfect. We enjoyed going across the street every night to watch the sun set. Thank you, Hee, for your prompt response to our questions and thank you also to Brit for securing a easily accessible parking spot for our stay (wheelchair user), and for checking in on us. We can't wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay in early 2015 including the wonderful view of the ocean from the lanai, the cleanliness of the grounds, and the very helpful attitude on the part of the unit owners. The property manager, Britt, was accessible and helpful. The owners were nice enough to install a grab bar next to the toilet and replace the raised bowl sink w a conventional one [much better access for young kids and those in wheelchairs]. The new clothes washer [horizontal axis] and drier were excellent. We found the clothes drying rack on the lanai to be very handy. It is nice to have a good snorkeling beach close by and well as a supermarket.

The penthouse is very neat and fill with pretty much everything you need even beach toys for kids.The location is perfect, beach right across the stree and stores are few blocks away. We have stayed 8 nights in this wonderful condo, and believe me , it was hard to leave...Everything was perfect inside and out. The property is Super Clean(thank's to Britt) the rooms are very big, one of are favorite was the lanai, where we always had our meals, with a lovely view on the ocean, the beach and the mountains! The entire condo inside is beautifully decorated, a big kitchen well furnished, we enjoyed the calm and quiet all day and night, we slept like babies. The location is perfect, close to everything, rigth across the street, one of the best beach/park for snorkeling, not to mention all the wonderful sunsets we witness everyday. I really enjoyed the swimming pool with its view on the beach, it is like you were in the ocean at the same time! The owners were very kind and welcoming and they are very fast on responding to our questions! From here, we went all around Big Island, and we where always happy to come back and relax at the condo. My husband and I have a vacation rental of our own in Portland, and we have also stayed in other vacation rentals, so we understand the demands of being a good host and owner. This is no small thing, and there are a lot of owners out there who just do the minimum to manage their properties, but not these owners. James and Hee are doing a great job ensuring their guests have a great experience, and I hope that they can continue to manage this property with such high standards and good prices. The condo provided everything we, as four adults, needed from a well-equipped kitchen for yummy breakfasts (you cook your own!) to comfy beds for rest after your day of adventure and a great supply of beach and snorkel gear for in between. We had a few questions along the way, and we were immediately taken care of by the manager or the owners. One concern we had prior to arriving was the comfort of two twins pushed together to make a king sized bed. The topper on the joined beds made this pretty comfortable, and there was not a problem with a gap. Insiders tip: If you stay here, check out the Farmer's Market on Saturdays at Keauhou Shopping Center for your locally grown fruits, ginger, baked treats and meats.
My wife and I plus our 2 children, ages 2 & 7, had a fantastic stay at this wonderful condo. The property owners were great, always quick to respond and very generous with information. They happily accommodated us with a high chair for our little 2 year old. The location is fantastic, across the street from the excellent snorkeling Kahaluu Beach. Our 7 year old learned to snorkel in no time. We enjoyed the beach using the snorkel gear, boogie boards, umbrellas, beach chairs, cooler, swim noodles, and beach towels all provided for with the rental. The view from the lanai is awesome up on the third floor, we ate all of our meals there. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you need. The pool is great, especially for children as it has a shallow section our 2 year old splashed around in safely. The property manager, Britt, was wonderful and very helpful. We already miss the condo and are lining up our next trip. I highly recommend this condo! Thank you to Hee, James, Britt and Matt for a very memorable family trip!!!
Upon arrival you are greeted by an expansive living room that just invites you to relax, unwind and adapt to island life. Ideally located south of Kona the apartment has excellent facilities and is of a high standard. The apartment is exactly as shown and well equipped for a family to live in. Hee and James provided excellent communication in the lead up and during the stay. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone that wants a relaxing beachside condo with all the comforts you have at home.
Our initial contact with the owners was very prompt, polite, congenial and low pressure. The condo was staged beautifully and was extremely welcoming and accommodating! It was tastefully decorated and spotless. The kitchen was also well set up and felt like being at home. There was an onsite manager available for questions who was very warm and friendly. The condo was equipped with beach and snorkeling supplies, which dramatically reduced what we needed to bring. The owner, James, told us all we would need to purchase was sunblock and a water proof camera! He was right! The condo was advertised as being across the street from the best snorkeling beach in the area. This was absolutely true. The snorkeling was right at the shore with the most colorful fish and coral of anywhere out of the 9 beaches we visited during our stay. The things we liked the best were that we were centrally located to convenient shopping and the Kona coastline. This was by far one of our favorite family vacations! We would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone! It was very suitable for our family of 4, with 2 teenagers.

We loved our stay at this condo and highly recommend it to anybody visiting Big Island. Condo is perfectly situated being right across the street from Kahalu'u Beach Park which has the best snorkeling we've had on any island in all of Hawaii, not just Big Island...loads of turtles and so many fish we really didn't need to go anywhere else. The condo itself was great too...The inifinity pool is so serene and has a nice shallow area for kids everyone in the family loved it! The best part is the lanai it is so relaxing with wonderful views of the beach and Kona shoreline and great sunset views. Beds were very comfortable and it was great the owners provided so many amenities for both the beach as well as the kitchen. In total this condo is such a steal we'll definitely be coming back again next year!
My husband and I stayed in this apartment with our three kids and we enjoyed it very much. The apartment is big, full furnished and everything is brand new. It's just in front of a small beach where we had one of the best snorkeling in the island. Also, from there it was easy to reach many nice beaches. It's very close to downtown Kona. The owners were very kind, giving us very detailed instruction and information about the island. Overall, a very positive experience. I would recommend this apartment to anyone
We had a great stay in this 2 bedroom 2 bath condo. It is a perfect size for 4. Great location, just across from Kahaluu Beach. Sunset views every night. Just back enough from the road so you don't hear traffic. Had everything you need, kitchen was great, lanai with ocean view. Would recommend it to everyone. It had wi fi and 3 TV's even though we didn't spend much time watching them. Owners were great, good communication. We loved the pool and hot tub, not crowded.
This rental unit is clean and updated with great modern amenities. The snorkel beach across the street has easy access, checking in and out is very simple. There are beach gear and equipment provided as a courtesy, which is fantastic.
The on site a manger is very nice and easy to talk to if you need anything.
The property is well maintained, parking was great and we had no disturbances from other guests.

We loved the location of this condo. We snorkeled every morning. Do pay extra for the A/C unless you are comfortable sleeping in temps inside in the low 80s.
We had a great stay in March 2017 in this 3-bedroom condo. It was spacious, clean, comfortable and well-stocked. Lots of room for 3 adults and 2 teens. Britt, the property manager, was extremely responsive and helpful when I had questions. Owners Hee and James promptly answered all my questions before we arrived. The location is great and we enjoyed snorkeling at Kahaluu beach across the street, where we saw numerous turtles. I highly recommend this condo rental and would love to stay here again!
Reservations were easy to make and communication was easy throughout the process. Upon arrival, it was simple to locate. Plenty of parking at all times. Just down a set of steps to the entry, which is keyless. The keyless entry was a huge bonus, as our older kids could come and go as they pleased without trying to keep track of a key. Also, if we wanted to skibble across the street for a snorkel we didn't need a key - just our mask and snorkel. The outdoor shower was very close to the unit for convenient rinsing off. Now back to the unit. It was clean and easy to keep clean with a great layout for us. Floors were all tile and could be swept quickly. There was some decor, but it wasn't in the way. All the appliances were functional and we especially loved the blender for making smoothies with fresh pineapple & other local ingredients. I loved the coffee bean grinder & maker for that Kona coffee! We all slept well and thought the beds were very comfortable. We heard a little quiet normal noise from other units on a couple occasions, but it wasn't disturbing. (We probably were the disturbers!) Showers both had great pressure and didn't change temperature while running. Showers were big enough to wash a couple kids at once. Kids! They were thrilled with sand toys and pool noodles! There are also mask/snorkel sets, which are a huge bonus. Our 5-year-old had her own set and Kahaluu was a perfect spot for her to snorkel safely, as it's very protected. We chose this location in hopes everyone would enjoy it, and we did! The snorkeling was excellent - we saw nearly all the same critters at Kahaluu as we did at other spots around the island. Kahaluu beach always felt safe and was never too crowded. Every morning groundskeepers tidied up and there were lifeguards most days. We could walk up the hill (maybe 1/3 mile) to shop (grocery, drugstore, bookstore, etc.) for necessities. There is a lane for walking along Alii Drive, and Alii itself isn't as busy as I thought it would be. It's easy to cross to get to Kahaluu and takes about 1 minute from the condo! The condo area always felt safe and clean too and had fun flora and fauna. Blooming flowers, grinning geckos, and palms galore. We didn't use the pool much, but it looked clean. When we arrived we realized we would need A/C after all; we phoned Britt, and she got us cooling off in minutes. Anytime we contacted Britt or James, we received a response very quickly.
Our stay, as a group of three couples, in James and Hee's home was wonderful. Located centrally in the Kailua-Kona area, it was a perfect spot to start each day and venture out. The rooms were clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The pool was clean and had an amazing view, as did the hot tub. We grilled out one night, and ate out in the lanai each evening. James was immediately receptive and accommodating to our needs, and answered any questions we might have had. We followed his suggestions for things to do, and were thrilled with the various adventures. Hang Loose Boat tours is a MUST! Should we find ourselves on the Big Island again, we would most definitely choose to stay in James and Hee's home again. Mahalo!
The property is well taken care of and very nicely furnished with every thing you might need. I came with my 3 grown up daughters and we all had a great time. The location is wonderful and the view will be in my memory for a long time. We sat on the lanai mornings and evenings enjoying our coffee with the view. We had a fabulous 5 days in this very comfortable apartment. Plenty of space for the 5 of us. Location is perfect - right across the road from one of the best snorkelling beaches in the area. Plenty of marine life including turtles. Snorkels, masks and reef shoes all provided. Spacious bedrooms, huge bathrooms, shops just up the road. This unit had everything we wanted. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Nice to be away from hustle & bustle of Kona yet close enough to enjoy it. Great snorkelling right across the road & close to Shopping centre for groceries & good food at the sports bar.
I almost don’t want anyone to know what a great place this is, as I am already trying to figure out a way to come back and hope it is not booked up !
But since the owners were SO nice I feel compelled to be honest. First off the home looks exactly like it did in the photos, which is nice. Truth in advertising, what a concept. It was very clean and well maintained, with comfortable beds and nice linens.
Our family ranged in age from 7 to 85, and all felt comfortable. The condo was stocked with everything you would need, such as snorkel gear, water shoes, boogie boards, coolers for beach and beach towels. Meaning that you do not have to buy or rent any of this equipment while you are here, an added bonus. So upon arrival you are stocked up ready to go. A great view, great location, central to everything yet still just far enough away to avoid huge traffic and tourist. The unit has a lovely view and is very quiet.
Honestly it felt like we were home.
But for me the best part of this home was the service from the on site manager and the owners. When we arrived, after several hours we realized the air conditioner was not working. I contacted the on site Manager, Britt, and she was so kind, apologetic and immediately worked towards resolving the issue. She was even able to get an air conditioning repair person out on Labor Day! We understand, things break, it happens, it is no one’s fault; but it is how issues are handled that makes or breaks the vacation. If it had taken all week to repair or the owners did not care, we would have been miserable. A vacation we planned and saved a year for could have been ruined. I really felt like the owners (who also contacted me to make sure we were taken care of) and Britt really understood that, and for many of us this is a once in a lifetime trip; and they understood that naturally we want our vacation to be hassle free and relaxing. It felt like they really cared about our comfort. The issue was resolved and we had a lovely vacation. So rest assured if – unintentionally – anything does go wrong, the owners and manager take care of it quickly, so you can get on with having FUN.
I should also mention it is great for families. I traveled with my three elementary age children, and this was a perfect location, well stocked with items kids need (even a ball). But great WiFi and TV for Grandpa. We are already scheming to figure out a way to come back and will definitely stay here again.

A great unit in a great location. My wife, me and the 3 kids (7,9 & 13) stayed there for 6 days and could not ask for more. Plenty of room for all, a very nice and fully stocked kitchen, nothing was missing. We enjoyed sunset dinners in the lanai, the kids loved the pool that is overlooking the ocean, and we took advantage of the complementary snorkeling gears and went to the fabulous kahaluu beach (right across the street) on a daily basis. Highly recommended!!

This trip to Hawaii was fantastic. Hee and James have a beautiful condo that has everything. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and a variety of glasses. We used the big bowls to hold our fresh fruit that we bought every other day at the farmers market: mangos, papayas, lichee, starfruit, two types of bananas. I miss it now that were home. The condo was really clean and bedrooms were very comfortable. It's hard to always find a comfortable bed away from home and these were perfect. We would sit on our patio overlooking the pool and beautiful landscaping and just relax. It's a perfect place to head out to snorkeling and downtown. We had everything to go to the beach; snorkeling gear, chairs, umbrella. They were really thoughtful when they stocked their condo. Just a really nice vacation and Hee and James helped make that possible. Oh, and the free wifi was exceptional. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This unit is located close enough to downtown, shopping, and eating, but far enough away to be immersed in local culture.

We loved being so close to town yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The condo is right across the street from the beach, so your ocean views are amazing and you get to watch the sunsets every evening. The condo was extremely clean and very comfortable, The owners and property manager were very responsive and helpful. This unit over looks the pool and the hot tub which were almost always empty, which was great for us!
My only issue was with the beach across the street. I loved snorkeling here in the early mornings, however, it started getting really busy in the afternoon. There is a picnic pavilion and the locals would have parties with very loud music that would last all day and into the evening. This really made sitting outside in the condo's patio for dinner not so enjoyable. We turned the fan on at night which drowned out the music so sleeping was not an issue.
We loved walking around down town and had lunch and dinner at Splashers, our new favorite restaurant. There is a great farmers market. We snorkeled at Two-step and loved all of the fish and the water was so clear! We drove up to Polulu Valley and actually like that valley better than Waimea Valley. The views and the trail at Polulu were outstanding!
Would I stay here again, even with the loud music? Yes, in a heart beat! Everything else was perfect!
Arrived late, but seamless self check-in. Plenty of towels and lots of unexpected kitchen utensils & recreational equipment. We easily prepared meals and avoided eating out $$$. Upgraded to $15 / nite airconditioning on day 2. Front door cypher lock was a continual challenge. Proximity of snorkeling beach and shopping mall was another unexpected benefit.
Great location just outside the hub bub of Kona yet close enough to get in to see things as needed. Literally a stones throw from the best snorkeling I had while in the islands! Within moments of entering the water on a rainy morning and almost having it to myself saw several green turtles and came away with great pictures. There is not one thing that can be improved with this location or the host. Even had it ready a few minutes early which was more than appreciated. Mahalo!!!
We recently spent 5 days at this property and would highly recommend it. The owners were very responsive and courteous.. The rental was spacious, comfortable and had everything you needed to spend the day at the beach. We appreciated the mats, towels, coolers, snorkel gear and umbrella. We spent the majority of our time on the lovely lanai and in the pool. The grocery store was nearby and the beach across the street was a great snorkeling spot.

We found this condo perfect for our family of three couples. It was very clean, well equipped, comfortable and in a great location. The condo is spacious with each couple having a nice sized bedroom with comfortable beds. With the best snorkeling beach across the street, we really appreciated the snorkel gear and the beach chairs. We did a lot of traveling around the island and also appreciated the coolers provided. It was a great treat to take picnic lunches and bring bottles of water which we could keep cold. Hee and James provided us with a list of recommendations for restaurants and things to see and do. There was also a guide book and brochures at the condo which we found very useful. The location was great as we were minutes away from a shopping center, a 5 minute drive down Alii Dr to the downtown area which had all sorts of shopping and restaurants and about 5 minutes away from the main road to go sightseeing. We managed to travel to every corner of the island and were so in awe of the different climate zones and scenery. At the end of a long day, it was so nice to come back and soak in the hot tub! Another thing we really enjoyed was the lanai. It was a real treat to eat our meals out on the lanai and look out at the ocean. James and Hee were great to deal with and responded so quickly to any of our questions. If we are able to, we definitely would come back to their condo. It exceeded all of our expectations. Had a fantastic stay at this condo! Found it for a last minute trip and it couldn't have been more perfect! Location is great and views are beautiful. Everything you could need is provided- beach towels, coolers, snorkeling gear, soap, shampoo, etc. Beach across the street is great for snorkeling. We saw awesome fish and swam with turtles! This condo is unique in the fact that it is so accessible to the beach whereas a lot of other complexes are located on the rocks. Coffee shop and grocery store nearby and short drive to other great places! James and Hee were so easy to work with and incredibly responsive. Can't wait to stay here again!
Location was great - right across the road from a great snorkelling beach, close to shopping centre, and a good base for some short drives to other Kona attractions.
Condo had EVERYTHING!!! Such a clean, well maintained, thoughtfully presented and stocked condo. Was great to have Netflix, loads of beach equipment, cooler bags for packing lunches, washing machine and dryer (saved so much time and money with this one!), toiletries and all detergents etc. The beds were super comfy and the lanai had a lovely view.
Hee and James's service and communication was far beyond my expectations. Always prompt to reply and shared useful tips and information. All the places on Hee and James's recommended list were fantastic (and what a treat to have all this information emailed to you before the trip). I'd done my research and picked out the same places and all were thoroughly enjoyed by our whole family. We also did the Hang Loose Manta Ray Night Snorkel. Highly recommend this adventure!
We stumbled across the cultural singing and dancing performance at the local shopping centre that happens free every Friday night, and Bianelli's Gourmet Pizza and Pasta there was delicious and great value.
Can't thank Hee and James enough for enabling us to stay in their condo making our Kona experience a fantastic one. We definitely hope to be back one day and stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. All the furnishings and decor were superb and of high quality. The beds & pillows were extremely comfortable. It was very clean and well-stocked and had quality equipment from snorkeling gear to the beach chairs & towels. The beach across the street was one of the best snorkeling beaches on the island and we had never tried snorkeling before. It ended up being a highlight of the trip! The pool & hot tub were very nice and well-maintained. The hot tub was an especially welcome amenity after hiking around Volcano National Park & the waterfalls. We were vacationing with another couple and there was plenty of room & privacy. The only thing we did not care for at the condo was the sliding pocket doors that were kind of noisy in the night. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends and family and would certainly stay again.
Perfect location right across the beach. More then enough room for my family. The washer and dryer was awesome especially cause we was there for sports. They have everything for a toddler.
We had a fantastic stay at this home. There were 4 adults and 2-17 year olds. They configured the 3rd room for the teenagers so they had single beds to sleep in, rather than a king - which the girls were thankful for. We had a beautiful view and a handy location to the beach where we got to snorkel with lots of fish and turtles.
Hee and Kim were very helpful and clear with the arrival instructions and though we never saw them, we also never needed to see them. The beds were very comfortable and the home was a lovely set up. Our only complaint was the loud ceiling fan in the living room - it was loud but it still worked great. Other than that we had a stand fan that we used instead, which was excellent and much more quiet.

We loved our stay at the Beach Villa at Kahalu'u Bay. I could spend every day floating in those waters. The condo was the perfect size for our family, with plenty of space to spread out. It literally has EVERYTHING you could need, dishes, cookware, dishwasher, washing machine, and all the soaps even. Beds were super comfortable and the shower was amazing.
The only problem we had was that there was only 1 key for the pool access, or beach access. So it was hard for our group to do separate activities. Wouldn't have been to bad, accept for the fact that the gates have to be opened with a key from both sides. SO if you were in the pool area, the only way out was with the key.
We stayed in November 2015. We were three adult couples, each had a private bedroom. The facility is very secure, keys need to get to the pool or out the side gate. When we arrived we found there were lots of kitchen supplies. Everything that was described in the listing was there and more. There was a nice welcome note from the manager and lots of books and magazines about the area. We had no trouble using the Internet or the phone. We ate our meals outside on the lanai.
The unit is right across the street from the best beach around, great snorkelling 2 minutes away. It's not far from shopping and about 15 minutes from the busy section which has good restaurants and shopping. We ate at Bubba Gumps and at the Kona Brewery, had a good time at each. We were about 2.5 hours from the National Volcano park (be sure to stay until dark to see the glow of the volcano, and take rain ponchos, it may be sunny at the unit but is there is lots of rain in the higher elevations). We were 20 minutes from the boat harbour, I took my son on a fishing charter for his birthday and he landed a 150 pound blue marlin.
We would definately book here again if/when we plan another Hawaii vacation.
I was impressed by the location relative to the snorkeling across the street, which was some of the best in Hawaii. The unit had snorkeling gear for use, a full kitchen, nice bathrooms, a large living room, and nice patio area. Other than the master bedroom, the bedrooms were just okay but that was not a huge deal. One issue with the location is that there aren't many restaurants or shops within close walking distance, although it is possible to do so. Everything else worked out great and the hosts were very helpful and even followed up on some left-behind items.
I would definitely recommend this property and also thought that Sam Choi's (up the street) was some of the best food and views I had while in Hawaii. Da Poke Shack was also good and a relatively close drive away.
Thank you so much for making your condo so clean, warm, inviting and comfortable! I have stayed in this building a total of 4 times now, and always enjoy this area. Your condo was stocked with everything we needed, and even more. The laundry is a welcome perk, as is the air conditioning. We only used it for short periods, though, as the unit was open and breezy. I LOVED being on the ground floor! We did use the snorkels and beach towels and my three travelling companions enjoyed their first snorkeling experience very much. The grocery store was within a mile or so, and made it so eady to prepare breakfasts and lunches in the beautiful kitchen. We especially loved the filtered water at the sink. Everyone is taking away fond memories of our stay in Kona and are all hoping to convince their husbands to come back here with them.
We wanted a rental with easy beach access, and this condo has it! The condo is well stocked with snorkels, boogie boards and other beach gear and a fantastic snorkeling beach is right across the street. We saw a sea turtle each time we went for a swim there!
The condo itself was immaculate and spacious, and was well stocked with everything we needed, including coolers for packing lunches for day trips and a blender for mixing drinks in the evening. The lanai has a view of the pool, the beach, and the sunset. The pool area also has a hot tub, which was a great place to relax after a day of hiking the volcano.
This condo was the perfect spot to settle in for a week of relaxation and Hawaiin adventures. We definitely recommend it - no complaints!
This is by far the nicest condo we've ever rented, beautifully furnished with every amenity including quality snorkel sets for our entire family of 6, beach chairs and towels, umbrella, boogie boards, and more! Very convenient location just across the street from Kahaluu Beach with excellent snorkeling and safe swimming. We've traveled the entire island and this area is by far our favorite with lots of sunshine and easy access to many popular attractions as well as convenient shopping and dining in Kailua-Kona. Highly recommend! Thank You Hee and James for exceeding all of our expectations !!
The condo unit is spacious and beautiful! It is perfect for our family of six. The place is clean and the beds are very comfortable. We enjoy eating our dinner at the lanai every night in front of the sunset. Being on the first floor, the unit is nice and cool even in July. We didn't need to use the AC. The kitchen is well stocked and is a pleasure to cook in. The supermarket is within a few minutes drive. The best kids-friendly snorkeling is right across the street. It was a perfect vacation. Wish we had stayed longer.
There are not enough words to describe how great this condo is! All the amenities needed for a comfortable home away from home. We loved the pool, the lanai, the snorkel cove across the street and the location to grocery and drug store. I left a prescription at home, it was a holiday and still the local pharmacy (Longs) was open, connected to my pharmacy and I had my meds the next day. Britt checked in on us for any needs, but we had none! Everything was perfect. Stay here for a go nowhere, relaxing vacation!
Absolutely stunning condo! Spotless and every amenity provided!! Sitting on the lanai looking across the infinity pool to the most wonderful snorkeling beach EVER while watching the sun set....does it get better than that??

there is a shopping plaza just a few minutes drive south....Bianelli's is a great pizza place there! A grocery but check with Long's Drugs as their produce was quite inexpensive there. Avocados n papayas for $1.50? you bet! (groc was $3)
To the north the hustle and bustle of touristy areas are a few miles away. Bus stop right out front.
Head into Kailua for the most awesome poke and ahi at Umegi's. OMGosh wonderful!!!!!
Big Island...it had been 10 yrs since we hopped over from Oahu. It won't be that long the next time. And we WILL book this condo again!
Stayed in this lovely condo with our dear friends from Scotland. Immaculately clean, GORGEOUS home! Everything we needed was there. Stunning view across the infinity pool off the lanai...sunsets, beach, etc. Britt, the site manager, was so kind and willing to help with anything we needed.

The beach across the street was the BEST snorkeling area I've encountered in Hawaii (we live here). Glorious fish EVERYWHERE like Haunama Bay (Oahu) was 30 yrs ago. Spectacular coral formations!!
Just south of the condo is a shopping plaza with Long Drugs (look for their produce, cheaper than the grocery next door) , a grocery and Bianelli's...fantastic pizza.

We really enjoyed the property and its location near the park, but away from the really busy part. If we decide to return to the big Island we would stay in this condo again. It was clean, roomy and very enjoyable place to spend 10 days
When we arrived, we were all surprised at how beautiful the home was. It was very clean and beautiful! The home was properly appointed with just about everything we could have possibly thought of for a weeks vacation. Their home felt like home and we were welcomed by the property manager shortly after arrival who was very helpful. The description of the property were exactly right. We loved the view, even though it was the 1st floor, it was elevated to the street and the beach and we were able to see the ocean and the pool from our patio and the master bedroom window. We sat outside for every meal and enjoyed the table for 6 which was perfect for our family. We were centrally located to most activities on the Kona side of the Island with a short drive or walk.
It was warm at night so we used the a/c which was a nice option to have when spending the day in the sun.
The beds were comfortable and bathrooms appeared newly remodeled.
I would not only recommend this property to friends and family, but I have already. I would love to stay there again. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, communication was quick and helpful .
They offered many suggestions on activities and local food and attractions. We tried them and loved them. So helpful to new comers to the island.

Just a short walk to the beach. The beach is small and rocky but the snorkeling is FANTASTIC! You really don't need fins there. Just a descent pair of water shoes(for the rocks), a snorkel and mask and there are fish everywhere. A short distance to food stores, shopping and a wide variety of restaurants/bars, ect. The property is well equiped, clean, nicely decorated and has plenty of parking. Plus the pool is very nice as well. The manager was immediately available when I had questions. The rates were very competitive as well. I would recommend this property to anyone!
Very nicely appointed condo with everything we needed for our stay. We were there with our daughter, her husband and their two children for half the visit and the unit accommodated us all just fine---the portable crib and high chair were clean and very useful.. Steps to the pool (felt like a private pool most of the time) and some of the best snorkeling on the Island right across the street. Hee and James were very helpful and responded to all of our questions quickly. The on site manager Brit was very friendly and provided local tips as well. We would certainly come here again if on the Big Island.
I stayed in James and Hee's condo with my 7-year old son. The unit is clean and recently renovated. It was stocked full with everything needed to enjoy the beach across the street including all snorkeling gear. The reflection pool is amazing and my son really enjoyed both the beach and the pool. Owners were very helpful and very responsive. Highly recommend the place! Both me and my son will be back later this year.
